Where can I find tips & recipes for pre-cooked fish in jars (for selling)? I'm planning to start a small business on the side, and I saw this article on Entrepreneur magazine Philippines on how to make/produce sardines, tuna, and other small fish in jars to be sold wholesale or retail. Well, it teaches the basics, but I would like to search for more websites to broaden my knowledge on this little endeavor of mine. Aside from using small fish, I plan to use parts of bigger fishes, like salmon belly, etc. What other fishes/ fish parts can I use?
What to do in current stock market conditions? And/or When do I cut my losses? I have only recently started investing in the stock market thinking it was a pretty good time to since the stocks I liked were down. I went and bought them thinking that the market would come around and not panic and go back on course to fundamentals. With most of my picks getting hammered, like the FMD i bought at $39 and $35 now only $26, or TZOO I bought at $21 now only $15, should I sell and cut my losses? But I know that these are real good companies with strong businesses making me want to buy more of these stocks actually, unless they keep falling.. I'm a college student/entrepreneur from the Philippines looking to grow my moneyand thought of trying the stock market because I've read in so many books and articles that if I start now, I could take advantage of the power of compounding, so I did.:) Also being a lone investor here in Philippines, I don't have anyone to consult with or ask advice from. And I'm not convinced enough yet to invest in local public companies. Thank you!
Are Filipinos mayabang in nature? What is your opinion on this? Being an Filipino entrepreneur, my line of business gives me access to meeting many people of different races and nationalities. I just find Filipinos in particular are quick to boast, though most are stretched exxagerations of the truth of their accomplishments and possessions. Just the other day a Filipina called me to give her a consultation, but the whole time it became clear she wasn't really serious and spent the entire time I was there to tell me her various businesses (she stated she had several factories, but never told me what they were, even though I prodded her for details) and properties in The Philippines (never told me where these properties were either) and how she had so much money and her neighbors in The Philippines were all celebrities and politicians. Mind you, I am very detailed about knowing my clients well before meeting with them, so I can gauge how much they are willing to spend and not over shoot my estimates. -Continue She lives in a working class neighborhood and she works for Caterpillar plant and her husband is a retired enlisted military and currently working for the post office, so I know from what I gathered that it's fiscally impossible to have all of the things she mentioned. She even showed me a Louis Vutton bag, which was clearly a knockoff, but a good one at that. I have meet another Filipina who stated she owned several bars in The Philippines, when I prodded for names, she mentioned bars where I knew the real owners quite well. I have more, but that should be enough... julia22: Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that all Filipinos are mayabang. Through experiences I just find that Filipinos tend to be quite boastful towards me, even when I don't ask to know about their possessions. Also, stretching the truth, is boasting. No matter how little you stretch it. Sigh. I guess I worded this question wrong. Sorry if it sounded as if I'm implying that all Filipinos are mayabang in nature. I'm Filipino and I know many are quite humble as well, like my parents. Many work hard and are not open about their successes. I just find there is this sort of competition between Filipinos: young and old, working and professionals, old rich and the nueve riche , jealous relatives, etc. where they seem to won up another - boasting or not. They don't like to hear about successes about other Filipinos... especially ones they know or live near.
