What should I do to become a biotech entrepreneur? I want to become an entrepreneur in the biotech industry in 5-10 from now. I would like to create a company that creates customizable cure solution and treatment cheaply and for everyone. I believe that Genomics/Proteomics/Informatics/Internet will help us achieve that goal. Now, I’m just a twentysomething guy who has a bachelor degree in Economics and I work a very big internet company. I do love internet and computer high-tech products, but I can’t see myself doing this forever. I understand that I will probably have to start undergraduate program again. That’s my question: Which are the best biology/biotech undergraduate program in Canada, US and Europe? Once I have my undergraduate degree, what should I do next ? PhD? Master? MBA? Also, do you know any scholarship that can help me in this dream? Do you have any other suggestion of how I can achieve this? Thanks.

What is the best major for an undergraduate student who wants to become an entrepreneur? I am a freshman undergraduate student at Winston Salem State and am not exactly sure what I should major in. I am thinking about majoring in economics, but it is also a goal of mine to one day own my own business. I don't know what exactly it would be, or in which field, but it is something I would like to do if I get the chance. So, what major can set me up for a career in the corporate world (if it doesn't work out) and my goal of being an entrepreneur: economics, management, entrepreneurship, or some other business major? I should also mention that I'm a big sports fan and wouldn't mind owning a business or having a job dealing with or related to sports (basketball, football mostly) (I'm not saying I'm going to become an entrepreneur, but would just like to now which degree gives me skills I could use in a regular job, and in starting and running my own business)

What was the key thing that made Bill Gates a successful entrepreneur? There is a key thing in many entrepreneurs - the ability to take calculated risks and the thirst to push further and further to be the best. But out of most entrepreneurs (such as Donald Trump or Richard Branson) who I find the most spectacular is Bill Gates. He left University yet he is the second richest man in the world. What made him great, and what personalities does it take to be a successful entrepreneur. Did he read business books when he was young? Or he was he very determined while at school? What made him great. Thanks for answering
How to be a kid millionaire or entrepreneur? I am a very determined 16 year old and I am going to college next year for business. ( I skipped a grade). I am very interested in building my own business. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about people like Kira Plastinina, and people like that who make so much money. How do they get noticed? Just have rich parents?
What is the best major for a entrepreneur/investor looking to deal with real estate? I am transferring from a local community college to Arkansas State University Jonesboro with around 50 hours of my basic courses. I would like to have my major set in stone by then but I'm currently at a loss. Because of my special ability to make money without working traditional jobs everyone tells me to major in Business. So thats the plan right now. I love helping people so I was hoping to learn more about becoming a financial adviser. I just don't want to be in a situation where it takes years to make decent money. I want to use my investment skills in the real estate market asap. But I need a reliable decent paying job to begin how I would like. I'm currently under the Finance degree route, but I'm afraid that it will be too broad for me to land a good job out of college. So should I continue with a business degree? More specifically for someone wanting to own duplexes/ trailer parks/flip property would a finance degree/w business minor be the best option? Thanks all. Thanks for both of yours answers but I need a little more help. I realize that I do not actually need a degree to work in the real estate field, but I do want a decent paying job fairly quick out of college.I want to make 30k/yr pretty quick out of college save up money and buy a duplex or rental unit of any type. Pay this off asap then buy another and so on. Just a basic strategy that should work since I'm a single young person. I know that a finance degree will eventually help me in anything related to business, but I do not want to be stuck in a situation where I cannot find a job with a degree in Finance. Also I am not dropping out. I want a four year degree to keep graduate school & political interest in the future open. So the question is- How confident can I be in landing a decent landing job out of college with a degree in finance? Or should I get a degree that guarantees me a job completely unrelated and just read books about real estate?

How can my son become a young entrepreneur? He is 10 years old. He wants to run his own business when he gets older. He is very responsible and has a great deal of skills that it would take. I just have no idea where to start. Is there an online community or a webpage that gives ideas for children and support? What steps do you think we should take? Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
What are some good opportunities for a young entrepreneur? I'm 23 and do very well currently, but I still find its not enough, I want to be filthy successful in life, I won Salesman of the Year at the most Improved and #1 GMC dealership in the Western United States, so I believe I have good enough business skills to take some risks and manage them, and I have a great work ethic so I don't think I would give up easy, obviously you won't ever be rich working for somebody else so I want to start branching out into my own thing, any advise and/or known opportunities would be much appreciated!
Is college totally necessary for an aspiring entrepreneur? Lately, I have been frustrated about college in general. I mean, you pay thousands of dollars, only to graduate and be so in debt, you wouldn t be able to start a business. I am a management major and plan to pursue entrepreneurship, but along with it are pointless courses like calc 2 and some religious crap and I just don t see the point. There are so many successful entrepreneurs either without a college degree or those who have degrees but werent trained in entrepreneurship specifically. ANy thoughts?
Do I have to have a lot of money and good credit in order to become an entrepreneur? If the answer is no, what are some ways that can get a business started? I am currently a student working from pay check to pay check. I always wanted to have my own business, and at the moment I would like to start soon, and begin making some money. It would be nice especially after graduation when I have to start paying off school loans.
How can an MBA help a budding entrepreneur? In starting a business, or running a fledgling start-up, how can obtaining an MBA help? Wouldn't real-world experience suffice? I always thought an MBA was used to help your employer's business, not your own.
