Marketing????

the university in my area offers Marketing as a minor...if I were to only take marketing as a minor, and not take a major ...would Marketing as a minor do anything for me in the job field ???

1. No. Your actions determine your own destiny more than your minor in marketing.
2. you need to major in something, or you won't get a degree. business major with marketing minor? finance or psych major? GL!
3. You can never go wrong with a Marketing degree. An understanding of marketing will provide an entry to any field or business in the world - every business has to market itself. Of course, you can't have a minor without a major, so you will still have to determine your main course of study, but you can't go wrong with some marketing in your background. Good luck.
4. You have to major in something, but marketing as a major won't do anything for you. You really need an MBA to have much chance. And if you get an MBA, your undergrad major won't matter a bit. So majoring in something that you love and truly broadens you, and minoring in marketing to show interest and understanding would be a good combo.
5. Don't know about job chances but being an online marketer I wish I could have taken some serious studies in general marketing because there are online entrepreneurs making 100k per month who started from scratch. At these numbers I think you can forget about the job field, unless you really like being a slave. http://www.imoneyonline.com
