- Well dont think too much about it, just visit any site and click the about us section (many business sites have that) and you can get an idea as to what write down. Good Luck :)
- As you give no hint as to the type of business you are in, I would suggest you need to visit your competitors sites and see what they are saying. Don't plagiarising from them though. Next try asking yourself questions about the business What does your company do? Why should I or anyone else choose you business over some other? Price, Location/ Place, Product Performance, Service Levels etc. Talk to existing customers about why they use you. If your not the owner of the business get them to talk about their business. If the business is new they should be able to provide an insight in why they wanted to set the business. Talk to the sales team about what they think sells the product/ business. Read the business press for your industry. What issues are current? Once you've done this you should have more than enough info to start writing. Always try to focus on the customers viewpoint. Best of luck.
- You can take a look at my blog. I put up a simple about us in my blog http://entrepreneurs-link.blogspot.com/
- Hi Pearl, A good starting point is to get the structure in place, which in this case can just be a group of headings to get you in the right mind set. (see below). Keep it short and succinct, although people love to write loads in about us sections, people don't necessarily want to read it. If the text is for search engine optimisation purposes, then ensure you have selected the correct keywords to include and promote in the text. See SEO sites for more info on this if required. An example of an About Us structure could be: What is your companies background? e.g. Based in X, we have been offering Y for the past 10 years to very satisfied customers who wanted N. (this info provides the trust element) What services/products do you offer? e.g. We offer a range of services covering dog grooming to walking. (Let them know quickly and simply what you offer). Who do you offer them to? e.g. We offer these services to low income families. (Who do your services/products apply to). Where do you offer them? e.g London, UK, Worldwide Hope this helps S
