Marketing....?

I checked out some marketing majors and occupations on the ACT website: Major: Marketing Management and Research Occupation: Sales/Marketing Manager I wanted to get some more information about either of these things, just to make sure this is really what I want to do. Please tell me some pros and cons about this field, and what exactly I would be doing at work, etc. Thanks!

1. I am a marketing manager myself - my inputs are as follows: Pros: - Get to work with creative people - less boring as compare to most jobs - might get to travel - provides a good grounding if you intend to start your own business in future (all business needs sales and marketing to move their products - otherwise even if you have the best accountants etc, the business will still go bust) Cons: Can be very stressful - as you have a real sales target to achieve unlike most jobs where they just have to put in extra hours to clear their job. Sometimes, with the best ideas or effort does not equal to the expected outcome.
