I have loved marketing from my first marketing class, but what career should i go into? I'm so puzzled there is a million things out there to do. Math isn't my favorite part of marketing even though i know it is a part of it sometimes. Does anybody have any suggestions?

  2. Here are some: Promoter- You can be a music promoter, tv promoter, movie promoter, and the list goes on. Public Relations- It is not uncommon to find a dedicated promotions team in marketing firms. This team works on creating programs that unite advertising to purchase incentives such as special discounts, coupons, samples, gifts with purchase, rebates, and sweepstakes. In order to promote these programs the promotion team will often use direct mail, telemarketing, in-store displays, advertisements, product endorsements, or special kick-off events. Creativity and judgment are highly valued. 3. Public Relation's. You don't have to do much math, since you don't like it, But you will have to use demographics.
  4. I agree that marketing is such a broad subject. I am also a marketing major and dislike math. Most companies have marketing managers who plan the marketing strategy of the company and manage the implementation of marketing activites. However this requires experience of about 5 years. First you must gain experience as a marketing assistant or marketing intern in which you assist the marketing managers. My advice is to choose an industry that you have a lot of interest in, and choose a company within that industry. Try to get a marketing internship, so an outstanding job, get promoted to marketing assistant, and then do a remarkable job to become a marketing manager. If you are passionate about marketing, I'm sure you'll do great.
  5. math is useful when you are coming to make a financial plan for the company..yeah you know something like statistical of sales for each products, branches, the trends for future... but anyways it's for the mid-level to the top-level marketing manager..if you are just starting I don't think you need to be bother of it.. by the times you will get the experience and I'm sure you will use with the math for that kind of statistical purpose..
